PU to organize special lecture on “Role of Women in
Indian Politics” today

Centre (PSC) is going to organize a special lecture on “Role of Women in Indian
Politics” today at 11:30am at Centre’s Auditorium. A special lecture will be
delivered by Prof Dr Bhavna Metha from M.S University Baruda India.
Punjab
University Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) organized a meeting
which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Monday and
given approval of 27 PhD synopses, 25 evaluation reports, 12 panels of
examiners, 7 extension cases and 6 miscellaneous cases. The meeting was also
attended by Prof Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, Prof Dr Mubbasher Ahmed Butt, Prof Dr
M Zakria Zakar, Prof Dr Muhammad Akhtar, Prof Dr Massarrat Abid, Prof Dr Mumtaz
Akhter, Prof Dr Shahid Kamal, Prof Dr Tahira Basharat, Prof Dr Ismatt ullah
Zahid, Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Prof Dr Amir Ijaz, Prof Dr Abdul Ghaffar,
Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Chairperson DPCC Prof Dr Kanwal
Ameen, Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Amin Athar and Additional Registrar Dr Kamran
Abid.
The National
Excellence Award 2014 has been awarded to Prof Dr Zia Chaudhary of Punjab
University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology by Institution of
Engineers Pakistan. The award was presented to Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal in
a ceremony conducted with the cooperation of Engineering Day celebrations. Dr
Chaudhry is the only person in chemical engineering program across the country
that have gotten this award centered on national interest research work which
had been conducted and new things to be developed. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr
Mujahid Kamran admired and congratulated Zia Chaudhry on getting distinction
for varsity.
